[EXT. NIGHT] X

Recluse used to run monthly but is now hosting one off events. Run in association with FBox Records our aim is
to host divergent live performers who traverse the musical tightropes between the analogue and the digital, the past and the present.

Specialising in showcasing performers too idiosyncratic to fit into any one genre, Recluse events offer performers and the audience with an open-minded event characterised by stylistic variation and live vitality.

The Declining Winter, Alex Monk, Furrows and Chris Bywater + DJ set from Slow Thaw + visuals by Vj Pietrushka.

THE DECLINING WINTER are a British band based in Yorkshire led by Richard Adams, the co-founder of the Domino Records group Hood. Expect warmly produced, forward-thinking, melancholic English music referencing Talk Talk, Bark Psychosis, Robert Wyatt, Radiohead and of course Adams' former buddies Hood.
ALEX MONK draws on both the 60s and 70s acid folk movement as well as ambient and electronic experiments. His first records were influenced by an instrumental ambient style however at the time of his release "The Safety Machine" (2011 ) he moved more into a more song and guitar based universe where the raw and improvised meets the dreamy, trippy and ghostly. References to early Eno, Coil, Robert Wyatt and Islaja have been made.
FURROWS is a duo made of Essex based Stuart Bowditch aka Hybernation and Nick Dawson whom together plough a sonic trench born from electronic improvisation.
CHRIS BYWATER, Bradford based co-leader of Aquarius Records favourite genre defying group Orchestra Of The Upper Atmosphere will be playing a rare solo set of improvised electronics
